Himilers

Thanks to this site, among others, I've reached almost ten years and 150k miles with straightforward maintenance and a few repairs.
Thought crossed my mind on the longevity of coolant hoses.
I've changed the coolant every 30k and replaced the thermostat and water pump with the timing belt.
Should I do all the coolant hoses and vac hoses or is that a waste of effort? Thoughts?

Toyota recommends coolant hose replacement every 6 yrs which averages out to the 90,000 mile service. My sons 99 Camry had 128000 miles using Toyota red and distilled water. I ordered a complete set of hoses from Toyotapartsman. As I removed the hoses I was amazed at how good they looked inside and showed no physical weakness on the exterior.

If I were you I'd check each hose for soft spots or deterioration. Then I'd drain some coolant and remove an upper hose to check interior condition for severe scaling.

Vacuum hoses crack and split sometimes unnoticed.

You make your point very well. Thank you.
I'll order up a set of replacement hoses and sleep soundly.
Your picture appears to be the PCV hose, correct?
