two possible electrical issues, any advice or possibly related?

Hi everyone. Just joined the forum. Looking forward to learning and contributing. I was on many auto forums in my car racing and customizing days but it has been a while.

I have a 2003 Avalon XLS. It started having an intermittant problem with two electrical items. Not sure if they are related. First, the key fobs for door and trunk entry started to work intermittantly. Checked batteries and both fobs. Same situation - sometimes work and sometimes do not. The second problem I have is the SRS indicator light comes on occassionally. It does not blink, but comes on and either stays on for a while, or just comes on for a few seconds and kind of flickers. One day it stayed on for a while.

Any ideas on where to look would be appreciated. I checked fuses, etc. but not sure where to go from here.
