2nd Generation Locating and testing of 02 sensor

Hello Toyota nation fam, i have a few question about my 01 toyota avalon. I have a P0420 DTC and wanted to get a reliable opinion as to what i should do. I want to check the O2 sensor first but i am unable to locate the one behind the catalytic converter, which from the manual says that is located under the drivers side floor. My question to anyone out there, does anyone have any pictures or have any idea where to find it. I really dont want to replace the converter. Thanks for your help!

First, turn out the light and see if it comes back. I have an Explorer where this code pops every year or so; I just turn it off. Been doing it for about 10 years.

Find your rear cat converter. Work backward looking for the first (and only) electrical wires connected to the exhaust system behind the rear cat. They connect to the post cat O2S. If wires are ripped out, look for thing vaguely resembling a spark plug screwed into a bung in the exhaust system. That's the O2S.
