car keeps dying!

Ok so i installed an amplifier but because it was not working right due to the line output converter for the factory head unit i kept the remote wire disconnected although the power and ground were connected and the amp was off i checked and then two days later my car dies so i jumped it and the car died again after i turned it off so i disconnected everything and had to jump it again and again when i turned off my car wich is a avalon 2000 xls it was dead again so i bought a new battery and everything was fine and this time i installed a after market head unit and reconnected the amp and subs and i know the wiring is fine. And again this new battery dies and so i turned off the car and tried to turn it back on there was some charge but not enough to power the car on so i disconnected the remote wire for the amp and jumped the battery again. Turned it off and it turned on again just fine. But then four hours later i tried to turn on the car again and there was not enough power to turn on the car nor to lock doors with the button. Could it be my alternator or my starter? Or something else?

I would suspect an electrical short that is causing the battery to constantly discharge. Going to be a bitch tracking it down, but it's got to be done.
