Exclamation Gauge Frozen!!!

I have 2000 Avalon. Took to Walmart for battery check up because car needed a jump start in the morning. The mechanic inserted a memory saver in the lighter socket and tested the battery. Once done I started my car and saw the gauge is forzen, i.e. speed at 80mph, fuel at full, engine temp @ high, rpm @ 4000, mileage shows nothing. I restarted the car but it does not help.

I called the Walmart manager but it did not help, I am on my own with this.
What should I do?

I think I'd try disconnecting the battery for about 15 minuts and see if the memory clears. Just gussing, but its a no cost place to start.

Go to a real/independent shop and stay away from corporate repair facilities.
