Question Avalon "Brake Switch" wires

Hey all,

I am in the process of installing a Bulldog remote starter on my 2000 Avalon, and it has gone rather easily thus far, until I got to the very last wire to connect, which needs to attach to a +12 volt wire at the break switch.
The wiring chart on their site says it is red with a blue stripe, and the manual says it should test positive only when the break peddle is pressed.
I found a red/blue near the fuse box that is negative always, and a red/blue near what i think is the break switch, but it is positive always.

The manual says that if it is not there, then I need to attach the wire to the rear break light, this seems like more of a hassle for me to do.

I spent a good 2 hours looking for this wire,
Any ideas on which wire I am looking for, or if it is even here?
Anyone have this problem?

2000 Avalon XL
68K miles

Thanks,
George

I would try to tap in near the brake switch itself or you could access the brake lamp connection at the rear deck and run a line up the sides under the door sills. (not a hard job)
