Brake pads for Avalon

I want to upgrade my brakes to Brembo rotors, but I can't find any decent pads to go with it. The only pads I can find are called Sumimoto. Can anyone help??

I have performed a global search on TN and couldn't find anything for brake pads.

Thanks,

I replaced my pads at 90,000 miles. Because of experience with other vehicles, I determined that 90,000 miles was long enough on OEM brake bads, even though they were less than half worn down. But since the OEM pads had lasted 90,000 miles so far, I decided that the OEM pads from the Toy dealer's parts department were pretty good pads, so that's what I bought.

Why would you want to go to the expense of changing out the rotors to those high-priced Brembos? My stock brakes work great.

I can get Brembo rotors for a lot cheaper than stock rotors. I guess I can always use stock pads with Brembo rotors.

Thanks!

Save your money. I know from experience that the brake system on the Avalon is adequate, and your not gonna make it into a Indy car. It'd be like putting Brembos on your grandmas Buick, if you get the point. If you wanna get Brembos wait till you get a Supra, MR2 or a Celica. As far as brake pads go I have Bendix ceramics and I like them, as they seems to make less dust, however I can't see a boost in performance. They will always lock-up and I've never had my brakes fade. I think they cost about $40 a pair.

fj40 the point f putting on new rotors is if ya old ones are fucked... good pads are alwasy the bes brake upgrade though. getting larger rotors wont increase yoru stopping power, but will increae the amount of control you have. if you can lock up your brakes eveyr time, you have plenty of braking power.

I think Brembo blanks are the plain surface Brembo rotors. They are slightly less than Toyota brake rotors
