ive heard that on the 2nd gen avy they have two pot calipers aka two pistons?? is this true???

125 front wheel horsepower with major retard issues between 4500-5200RPM -
OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

No. All Camry platform brakes are single piston.
The first car in Toyota's line-up with two pistons is the Lexus IS 300.

thats what i needed to know... 4cyl camry factory calipers and rotors are much smaller than the v6... hence cheap upgrade w/o going too far overboard.

and yes it does matter, otherwise i wouldn't have asked now would i???

get better brake pads.
