Replacing stock radio in an '01 Av

Difficult?
Easy?
Does the stock radio run off an amp?
Will I have to rewire the speakers?
What all need to be removed to get the stock radio out.

Thanks for any info you may have.

My prayers were answered when just the other day, I finally discovered an installation kit for aftermarket stereos in Avalons. Check out this product from Crutchfield.

This kit, along with a wiring harness and installation instructions for the Avalon, comes free with any stereo you buy from Crutchfield.

This kit and the wiring harness should make installing a new stereo easy. I don't think there's a need to rewire speakers.

Here's a link that shows how to remove the stock stereo.

Hope this helps.
