if you have alot of bends it might be easier to get a pipe made up, if your gonna buy some bends and piece a system together use mandrel u bends as they are round through the bend and you can section them to the right angle, Personally i wouldn't weld from the manifold back solid, add maybe one set of flanges by the converter.

advice
- the closer the fit in joints the easier it will be to weld
- you can get flanges at most muffler shop because I know there a little hard to find
- if you have problems getting the welds to seal, get some pipe that just fits over, cut short 1" sections then slip them back over the welds and weld around each edge
- reroute a bit if possible, the fewer bends the better...
- As you fit pipe dont fully weld it, just tack it makes life easier if you have to make changes
