2005 avi

My mother has a 2002 Avalon with only 30,000 in great conditon only one accdient by me which we replacd the bumper. I want her to get the 2005 one it is not a big increase in price only around 7 more grand then she spent in 2002 I was wondering are the 2005 good or should she wait intill 2006

2006 models are already out there. Nothing different between the two so I'd wait for the clearance dealings to start. However, some women (like my wife) are really color oriented and as the 2005 inventory draws down your color selection with options drops quickly.

there's no change in the engine power, it's just that SAE changed all the parameters for measurement, and includes that power be computed with the lowest recommended octane--which is regular for '06 since they don't mandate premium. Other than the HP, I have noticed that apparently Toyota '06 models now don't cancel the cruise control memory when you slow below 25 mph. I read they changed that on the Highlander for '06, and the '06 Avalon also retains the resume memory. Not sure how the '05 Avalon worked but the '05 Highlander does cancel resume memory when you slow. Very minor stuff.
