2006 Avalon Rear Spoiler

Has anyone added a rear spoiler to a 2005 or 2006 Avalon...other than the factory lip type? I would like to add one, but can not find one designed for this car. Thanks...

I don't think they would like right on the Avalon.

A jaguar style "up turned" lip would look quite fetching on the avy I think. A bit of sporty flair for a car that is truly a sport sedan at heart (even if it rolls like Beethoven).

I zipped over to the Jaguar website to see what it looked like but non of their current photos show a spoiler. Was this a past year Jag you were thinking of?

"To each his own", but ...

I actually like my 2005 Avalon as it is, although I have not seen one with moulding around the wheels and on the side like mine. It also has a clear 'bra' on the front, and I've tinted the rear windows black (tinting the front side or windshield is illegal here in NJ). Still, I like the moulding. It snazzes it up a bit. I didn't think the (factory) spoiler was very impressive. The car is sleek and sexy as it is. Just look at Ratko's photos ... he is a great photographer! And that's coming from a photographer!

I LOVE this car. This is a photo I took of her:

Tee Time,
The molding for both the sides and around the wheels was on the car in the showroom. I saw a car almost exactly like mine that had the factory-installed spoiler on it, but I don't think any of the spoilers I've seen look 'right' on the car. Instead, they seemed to take something away. Of course every person has their own tastes. Anyway, thanks for your post.

Willa

Thanks, I really like it too! I bought it from spoilerdirect.com paid like $170 including paint. I installed it myself and it's pretty easy once you get over the fear of drilling five holes in the deck of such a beautiful car. They said it only takes about 1-1/2 (my foot). It took me 1-1/2 just to make my mind up were to mount it and another 4 hrs. to convinced myself to take a drill to it. I've had a lot of compliments and a lot of folks even ask me what kind of car is it. As you can see I put aftermarket 17" motegi racing DP5 silver rims that match the paint perfectly. I outfitted them with Kumho 225/55's that fill the wheel wells nicely without any rubbing at all (front or back).
