05 Are there 2 amp?

It seems the rear speakers have gotten quiet. When you switch to the rear only they are still working but much quieter than the fronts. When you put the fade back on "0" you can not hear the rear speakers at all. The bass sounds from the front speakers seems ok but the rears don't have that thump. I checked the big speaker in the rear deck and it is working but seems quieter too.

Any ideas? Oh, where are the amps anyway?

You said amp so I assume that there is only one. So if the front speakers sound ok would that indicate that the amp is working correctly? or miht there be something internally that could have pooped out to make the rear speakers so quiet.

Yep, stock 12 JBL speakers. I stuck my nose under the passenger seat and it is there. Not very big. I think I'll visit the Toyota dealer this weekend and park next to another Avalon and test the sounds just to make sure I'm not going deaf

I put a sub in mine to handle the bass so that the components dont get fried and reproduce sound better, clearer and louder.

I suggest doing this.
