HID low beam, non HID high beam

Hello all.
I have a 2005 Avalon Touring with HID bulbs for the low beams. The high beams are regular 9005 or 9006 ( cant remember which is the high beam bulb).
When I put the high beams on, everyghing changes from a bluish tint to mixture of blue and brown and they seem to be fighting each other rather than working together.

Can anyone recommend a bulb to put in the high beam location that would not contrast the HID lamps when I put the high beams on and at least resemble the HID low beam?

I have some bluish bulbe that were the rage about three years ago but they really do not put out much light, just a blue tint.

I need the light more than the volor but was hoping to get something that would do both

Thanks

Phantomdaz: If you go ahead with the Phillips 9005 Blue Visions, please post your results. I have the same issue with the mixed light results. I'm not as concerned with how the car appears to others as much as creating a better field of vision.

heck, toss in some 9006 HID for the high beams! then it will definitly match.

j/k

I have a 96 avalon and I have aftermarket HID in them, but you swear they came factory ( no glare or crazy cutoff, nice and clean like stock! )

For my high beam, i'm using 100w bulbs with a thick upgraded harness so I don't burn out the sotck harness. The color I get from them when using it, is nice a white~yellow. Nothing that really matches the HID but definity better than your standard 65w high beams.

These are Hella 100w bulbs. Puma performance I think carries them. And on top their like $5 a pop, so you can't go wrong. I've had these for about 2 years now, now complaint. Dang at times I even think their bright than my HIDs.

My hids are 4300K by the way not the 12000000K ricers kind.

Are "YOU" turning the lights on? If you are, don't. The Avalon will turn them on. When the driver turns them on, the drl's seem to come on for some reason(don't ask why). so, set it to "AUTO" and she(Avalon) should fix it herself.

The DRL's are the high beams . When you replace the high beam bulbs, your DRL's will look much cooler Get some PIAA's. My local shop has 4 different kinds, each about $60 a pair.

Yeah. PIAA's Xtreme White Plus is probably your best bet when it comes to 9000 series bulbs that are non-HID. Catz is also good, but extremely hard to find. Don't go with unknown UK or American brands as they tend to up the wattage to blow out your wiring harness. Oh, you can also consider getting Sylvania's Silverstars. From my experience, I think they are whiter than the piaas.
