05 Avy-2nd Power Steering Pump

Just wanted you guys to know I had to take my Avy in again because of fluid leaks and they said the power steering pump needed replacement. This is the 2nd P/S unit they have replaced in my car. What are the odds of their replacement part also failing. CAr only has 11,000 miles on it.

I'll bet more of the 2005 owners will be checking in soon with power steering pump leaks. I have had 3 pumps replaced so far and tomorrow they will put in the 4th pump. The service writer said that other 05 owners are beginning to show up with the same problem. He did not know if Toyota fixed the problem for 06 but he did not think so and as those cars start putting on the miles, well, time will tell.

For you 05 owners that chime in here, remember that the lemon law states that 4 attempts to fix the problem and the law kicks in. I might be picking out new colors for my free 2006 model soon.
