,06 Toyota Avalon Tourind or '06 Infiniti G35 Sedan
I have been trying to decide which of these two cars to buy next year. Its been tough because both are good cars. I would like to hear you alls opion on which one you would choose.
I have a 05 avalon and I was also looking at infiniti g35 but I was looking at the 2door six speed. If you do look at infiniti you might want the AWD g35 4-door, I would buy that over the avalon. If you do not get the AWD buy the avalon all day. Both great cars and both look very good. both got very good reviews in Consumer Reports. I am a little basis because I sale toyotas but both good cars.

Thanks for your opinion. I am leaning towards Toyota because of their quality and reliablity. I own a Toyota Thndra which my wife drives all the time and so far had no problems with it. I really like the Avalons with the ground effect kit on them, but that is only sold in the Se region. I wish I knew for sure that the 07's would be coming with this option in all states.
I looked at the IS350 and the car has very little back seat room. The interior felt smaller than the G35. Other than the smaller interior its a nice car and a little out of my price range too.
I looked at many other cars while considering the Avalon, including the GS, G35, M35/45 and others and the Avalon won because it was the nicest, most well rounded, comfortable car for the best possible price.
Some had more power, but sacrificed comfort or style or something else.
The g35 has horrible back seat room. As far as engine goes the vq35 is the nissan work horse. It is in everything from the 350z to the 3.5 altimas and maxima and murano. My mom has a maxima and so far the vq35 has no problems. The g35 is basically a 4door 350z and the coupe is a 4 seater 350z with more luxury features. But I cannot stand the analog clocks that infitis have just for that reason I will never get one. Based on the fact that the back seat is practically non-existant and the analog clock is lame I would not recommend it but Mechanically it is sound and probally has quite a bit of power. I think the 350 is rated around 280hp.
In conclusion it is a luxury 350z with 4 seats but the rear 2 are worthless. Well maybe a little child will be comfortable. But serously 350s are so much fun. So I would imagine the g35 is tons of fun even the 4 door one. But if you are getting a 4door sedan wouldn't you like to have a rear seat where the back 2 are usable?
Let us know what you decide. Even tho I'm nowhere near buying a new car I often wonder what car I would get when you compare the ones you mentioned (G35, M35/45, Avalon).
Also keep in mind the G35 is all new next year (I believe) so you might want to wait til then. Altho there's the possibility of 1st year bugs.

The back seats are not that bad as you make it. Its even worse on the new Lexus IS.
