Snow Tires for '06 Avalon (16" wheel?)

Getting ready to get snow tires for the new Avalon and was wondering if anyone has tried to fit up 16" rims on the car? Seems like there is enough rotor clearance. Anyone have any luck?

BTW, no matter what size tire I go with I'll get getting studded Nokia Hakkapaelitta 2's for the car. Friend had them on his Evo last winter and they are amazing. A ton better than the Hakka 1's I ran on my WRX (getting 2's for it this winter too).

I have the XL model thats comes with 16" size. They clear the rotors just fine. They better! I put Blizzak Revo1 on in the original size - 215/60/16. A little noise on dry pavement and a little softer/sloppy compared to summer wheels and tires but thats to be expected. The wheel /tire package performed very well in the ice & snow crap we get in Maryland.

My sister has those on her 01 Outback and is pretty satisfied with them.

She lives in Utah, which gets TONS of snow, so that should say something.

I have those same snows for my '99 on the OEM rims. So far so good, not much of a snow challenge in KC last year.
