Toyota Avalon 2005 Multi-Information Display Problem?

This is my second time facing this type of problem that my Multi-Information Display is all blue and its showing only F letter in outside air temp display side. Before when i read the customer manual i found that it tell that there is problem with outside air temp sensor because of that Multi-Information Display is showing F letter instead of outside air temp, My question now is why when this problem occur all function in the display is not working even that my audio system is not working also.

When i faced this problem first time i went to the dealer and he told me that he solved the problem by reseting the comp, but i dont think that he is telling the true about that.

Anyone who has faced same problem or know how to solve it plz share your solution here.

Try taking it to another dealer. Or, did you try to press the "E/M" button? That helped me clear mine in my cam.

try by disconecting the battery for few minutes and connect it again. This resets the computer for most cars. Good luck. Oh by doing this, you'll have to reset the memory seats, clock, radio presets etc etc.

Also make sure that if you have a security anti-theft type radio you have the security code or else it will be disabled requiring a dealer to unlock it.

This problem happened to me first time before 3 month and our dealer solved it like you just said by removing the battery cable for few minutes then connect the cable again to reset the computer but this problem occur again this month and its still there. This time i went to the dealer to search for the thing that causes this problem to occur and i will not leave him to do the usual solution which is to remove the battery cable then reconnect it again which is only temporary solution but now i should wait for my appointment which is in next week so i will inform you about what is going to happen at that time.
