I replaced my tires with Goodyear Assurance Triple tread and love them. Excellent in rain and snow did not effect mileage or ride.

I called this morning about those exact tires. About $650 total. These OE tires are just awful. And dangerous, too.

I would seriously consider a wider tire also. 215/55 is not enough width in my opinion. If you just look at the car they look undersized. I would consider 235/50.

Look at this thread:

I second the TripleTred Recommendation. I put them on my 97 avy and it was an amazing improvement over the Toyo 800s that were on there before.

There is a web site called Tire Rack. They sell tires but the thing I use is their tire selections referal reccomendation feedback section. It has a search engine that allows you to enter your driving style and car then narrows the tires for your car and and driving stlye. I got a local tire store to match the tire rack price. They are great tires. I will put them on my '04 Civic when needed.

I've been happy with Bridgestone Potenzas for 30k. Great in the dry and wet, poor in the snow. I'll be on Triple Treads too when these wear out.

What tires come as OEM on the '05 Touring?

My '07 Ltd came with Michelins (not overly impressed, BTW)

My 2005 came with the Michelins. One of the worst tires I've owned since the Dunlops on our 98 Avalon. Hydroplane city.

Those Dunlops got recycled and put on my 02 when new. They lasted 9k miles and I sent them on to some other unsuspecting individual.
