HID self leveling

I noticed that my drivers side HID lamp is not moving at startup while the other is balancing and self-leveling. How to check or adjust??

Wouldn't that still be covered under warranty?

And you actually coughed it up? I would of just bought an aftermarket kit for 1/4 of the price.

I'd like to know where you'd get an aftermarket headlamp self-leveling kit for 1/4 of the price of Toyota's. Please do tell!

Why would it not be covered and what is the purpose of self leveling headlights. I have them too but don't understand the purpose.

The self-leveling headlamps ensure that they're always adjusted to the correct height. They adjust for variations in loaded trucks, large folk in the left (or right) seat, hard braking or heavy acceleration.

It's a pretty neat feature. If mine broke I'd be looking to get it fixed pretty quickly.

HID self leveling out

Tomorrow I will take it to the dealer and I have a relationship with Service manager (I have him by the short hairs). Free loaner, and They put a new tire on and it came off rim, I didn't make too much a fuss but I expect some attention to these matters. They already gave me new Key FOB free..I expect that the light will be replaced under warranty...

Well been driving new Camry SE all day (Dealer expense). Looks like I had a pinched wire to the motor. All repaired no charge. Now considering extended toyota warrnty Platinum 7/100000 990 quote...the guy in Mass. quoted me these rate off this forum. Really considering this?

How many turns on adjustment to lower the headlight (Counterclockwise) I only did about 1/2-3/4 and saw no lowering.

yes i did. now i learned my lesson: do not ef around with the auto leveling. i was thinking about getting a retrofit from the Q45... which would have been cheaper. but i didn't want to take chances of having condensation in the headlamps.
