Toyota national vs SE Toy. extended warranty

Today got quote for my aging Avalon LTD very different rates. I called Troy as this site offered my he has best rate for Toyota. Rate National 990.00 platinum 7/100000 while My dealership did not even offer this extension:SE (underwritten by Fidelity Financial)

Platinum Coverage:

6 year/ 72,000 miles= $2277.00

5 year/ 60,000 miles = $1895.00

4 year/ 48,000 miles= $1651.00

3 year/ 36,000 miles= $1225.00

Note that Diagnostics are NOT covered..with either they tag you for this. Troy stated the national one (Toyotas Extended warranty covers NAV and electronics) All toyota's dealerships must honor this. Also Foreign garages are covered should you not make it to Toyota like in the Florida Keys. 3rd Party (warranty gold is defunked). Will Florida honor the National one that is cheaper and broader. Help me with anyone that has used these what should I do. Car today had Auto balance HID fixed per dealership..pinched wire. I get free loaners...so I want to stay with the dealer...thanks for all the help here.

I am writing this since I did a lot of leg work: Today picked up my car and spoke to service people at dealership. They try to sell the SE toy policy while the National is also honored and cheaper (964 7/100,00) through Midwest Toyota, KS. I then read Consumer report this month. Statistics for toyota are 1:10 that you will get your money out of these policies not warranties. You must prove failure not caused by something you did, maintanence records must me meticulous, and diagnostics and teardowns to determine problem is your headache. I have decided to let it go and NOT purchase based on this, although the toyota platinum is the best out there. I hope this helps. I do my homework and this time I feel I did all I can...let roll the dice.

Figure in the EPA mandatory extended warranties on emissions equipment, the basic warranty, how many years the extended warranty will reach beyond this plus the cost for each year. It is often cheaper to pass on these warranties.
