they look pretty good. can you get a full side profile shot? one without the angle? its hard to get a good look at the angles you posted.

Was there a difference in the ride quality? Is it a firmer ride?

I'd guess those are XIX brand, X-05 Lago style (black, machine finish) wheels in a 20x8.5" size with 40mm offset and 235/35-20 size tires. (But, that's just a guess...)

As for ride quality, it just isn't going to noticeably diminish with going to 20" rims.

What gives the Avalon its great ride is the long wheelbase, wider track, well calibrated shock/strut valving, spring rates, etc.

I'm not too fond of the tire size that you used, but I suppose you had to go with that to avoid rubbing.

There's a big difference on ride, very stiff. I pretty much loss the smooth , luxury ride that Avalon had.

Sounds like, i will be going down to 18's

That is the correct wheel, we actually installed 225 / 35 / 20.

we had rolled the fenders and shave some part liner in rear.

20's on Avalon looks great,

if you're single and dont have anyone else in car.

I think that's the difference in ride quality. I'd suggest going with 245/35-20 size tires next time. The difference in sidewall height is noticeable and better suited to the weight of the car.

Also, I've taken another look at the pictures.

It actually looks like those are the 20x8.5" wheels with the 25mm offset and not the 40mm offset.

I say that because those wheels look unusually far out of the wheelwell. If that's true, then only the 225mm width tire might fit and you'll definitely need to have the outer fenderlips rolled just as you're doing...

As an example of a wheel similar to yours, there are several Avalons in my area riding on the KMC Dime in the 20x8.5" size with a 38mm offset and 245/35-20 size tires. No rubbing whatsoever - no matter how many people are riding in the car. And no fender modifications needed.

Do you recall what offset they are?
