Avalon side molding

Has any one purchased and installed the body side moldings from Dawn enterprises , if so, are they of good quality and is the paint durable ?

We had the body side moldings installed by the dealer when we bought our '07. Don't know if they are the same ones you are referring to but I am happy with them so far. They are 16 months old now and paint is holding up well. I really like what they do for the appearance of the car not to mention their functional purpose for preventing door dings.

Could you post a picture of what they look like? Or some place on the net where I could see how they look? I just bought a '08 Avalon.

Presbo, well I haven't quite figured out how to post pictures yet. I got the trim from our Toyota dealer, wasn't cheap, about 5 bills as I recall. I had them installed prior to us taking delivery. You might try searching accessories on the Toyota website.

Thats not mine its a neighbors across the street. I think its a '33 Ford. It's a "kit cat". He did alot of all the work himself.

Supposedly, the 1st (?) batch of body side moldings did have a problem with paint adhesion, and a new batch was released in April 2008. I have a set from the new batch but have not installed them yet. Ask your dealer for a printout of the FSM installation diagram and procedure. It clearly defines placement on the doors. The set consists of four pieces.

I have a set from dawn ent but its for my 07 cam I got the one with the chrome lining like the benz I have't gotten a chance to install them yet but the paint was a factory match barcelona red(3r3) quality looks good uhmm they also give you instructions and extra adhesive.. From what I seen so far a site on the net call upgrademycamry or something like that was also selling the same product for more than twice of what I paid and I found out that dawn supplies to dealerships. So I think they should be reliable...
