Question 07 Avalon theft deterrent system

Hello everyone!

I am just wondering how Avalon's (with smart key) theft deterrent system functions? I mean, you can still drive the car when the key is not in the car. So, is there any way to shut the engine off when you have the key but not the car? ;-)

Thanks!

I chose to go with Lojack. It won't shut the car off if stolen - but the transmitter directs the police right to the car. If it's not recovered - Lojack makes up the difference that insurance doesn't cover.
