If your car is an '07, it may still carry warranty on the failing part, if that is the reason for your problem.

Go thru your owners manual before taking the car in.

The sensor itself is all solid-state technology; hardly fail. The other side of the spectrum could be the ECU's on the car. However, yours is too new for these parts to fail as well.

What's left? Are you sure you have not deviate too much from the psi range on all tires including spare? Another remote possibility is that one or more Lithium batteries on the sensors (tire side) is/are dead.

Also, has anyone other than yourself worked on your wheel/tires just before this thing happened? Swapping/removing these devices (sensors on tires) is very easy

The tire ECU on the vehicle is constantly monitoring/receiving signals from the 5 sensors, which are also transmitters. This is how the tire pressure system in your vehicle knows if your tire pressure is within specs because the sensors are constantly sending this information (pressure values) to the ECU, which compares it with the stored values in the ECU. If any one of those sensors stop sending its signal for whatever reason, your dashboard is gonna light up even if the remaining 4 are O.K.

If you changed your OEM rims, I hope you kept the original tire valve stems because this is where the sensors are. And if you did keep them there is a chance that if the valve stems were overlooked when handling the tires, at least one may have sustained damage. Since no electric power goes from the vehicle to the tires, the sensors need their own power supply in the form of disposable batteries in order to transmit their signals to the ECU. But the batteries themselves are supposed to last many years, about 10. But then again, one or some of them could fail prematurely.

I had aftermarket wheels installed on my '08 Avalon. The place where I have always pruchased tires for all my vehicles changed the spare and broke the sensor. When I picked up the car, the lamp was on. I then found out that they broke the sensor and did not tell me because they "didn't know the spare was monitored". Needless to say, I now purchase tires from a different source. So much for Gateway tires.
