Two Avalon Family

We have a 2007 Touring edition and have logged 34,000 miles in 15 months. Have liked it so much we just ordered a 2008 Touring Edition so we both get to drive one every day. Any other two Avalon families out there?

Hey Jim! I'm not a two-Avy family but there's several Toyota's in the family.

I have an '07 Limited (34k miles in 15 months as well!), my brother and his wife both drive Celicas and just this morning we got Mom to trade her Buick in on an '09 Corolla! After seeing Mom's new car my wife is starting to think about trading the Mustang in on a Prius...

Welcome aboard!

Don't have but one now, but this my third Avalon. I have a 2008 Limited now, had a 2002 XLS, and before that a 1996 XLS. The 1996 went for 253,000 miles, the 2003 went for 122,000 before trading it in. Guess I am convinced that Avalons are great cars.

Oh my how unexciting! Why not buy something different just to add to life's experiences! I would have tested the waters with a New Pontiac G8 or Chevy Malibu LT. Two of the same seems redundant, but I do like having one in the family. I too drove 35K in 15 months and have had very few issues with the car and love the engine and fuel economy.

3 Toyotas

We have a 96 Avalon XLS, an 05 Avalon LTD and a brand new 08 Tacoma DC LB. Our daughter drives the 96 and I swap between the other 2. My wife, who rarely drives, drives the 05.

I love my Avalons. The plan is to buy a new one when I pay off the 05. Less then 2 years from now. Then when it's paid off I'll retire.

I can average 27mpg in mixed freeway/city driving with the Avalon when I behave. I've hit 33mpg on extended freeway trips.

Well, we do have six cars now, only two are Avalons. Since it is our favorite car to drive, seemed logical to get two.... and leave the other cars for our kids to drive.

(I did in fact look at the G8... wasn't for me)
