Rolling noise

Hello,
I recently purchased a pre-certified TOYOTA AVALON '07 XLS with 28000 miles on it and I put about 1000 miles more on it and now I have started hearing intermittently a sort of marble rolling sound from the left back passenger under door to the middle of the drivers side.....any ideas?

This symptom sounds similar to what several '05 and '06 owners reported on the Edmunds forum. It turned out to me some metallic object trapped within the tubular seat support structure. The solution was to unbolt the seat to gain access to the bottom, and than inject expanding foam into the tubular supports to effectively encapsulate the rolling object (there is no easy way to remove it). You might try a search of that site to find the detailed instructions posted by an owner (in 2005, as I recall).

You can test if this is your cause by temporarily removing the 4 bolts that retain the passenger seat to the floor, and then tilting the seat from side-to-side while listening for the offending sound. Adjjust the seat to the most forward position to access the rear bolts, and to the most rearward position to access the front bolts.
