Thumbs up 2005 Avalon TSB EG033-07 - ECM - Enhancement to Shifting Performance & Smoothness

Finally got this done last week.
There is a noticeable improvement to the car's shift points.
Low speed throttle response also feels more refined.

The dealer could not get the A/F Sensor out of the old manifold so they installed new ones.

Heat shields of the old manifolds are reused.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

No Authorized Modifications Label was install on my car.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even though the job took 4 days I did not care since they gave me a loaner free of charge (2009 Camry Hybrid)

I have a copy I can scan to PDF for you. Contact me via the Private Message system (link in the left column on this page) .

The 8yr - 80,000 mile applicability is likely forced by USA emissions regulations. It may not apply in your country.

New Tranny

Thanks to inov8 for sending me TSB EG033-07.

Had the dealer perform TSB on my 05 Touring and the car shifted worse then when i brought in, shifted hard from 2-3rd and 4-5. Brought it back and dealer confirmed....they put a new tranny in, car has 42, 000 miles on it. I have owned over a dozen cars over the years and a few had 121,000, 135,000, 147,000 without any transmission problems. Hopefully this one wil last!
