Reverse '05 Seat Belt Chime Issue

Hello,

I read the '05 Seat Belt Chime Issue sticky about two years ago, followed the procedure to the letter and it has disabled the chime ever since.

Trading my '06 Avalon Limited and want to reverse the procedure to the factory specification so the Seat Belt chime works.

Does anybody have the procedure to do this?

Thanks in Advance!

Pete

1. Turn the ignition ON but don't start engine (Ignition ON by pressing ENGINE START STOP button twice with foot OFF the gas)
2. Make sure speedometer is in odometer (ODO) display
3. Turn ignition OFF
4. Turn ignition ON again without starting it
5. Press and hold odometer button. After 10 seconds and while still holding the button, buckle your seat belt.
6. ODO display will change to b-on or b-off depending on the pressing of the odometer button.
7. When odometer is set to b-on you are done!

Thanks very much, worked like a charm!

I'm going to miss this Forum, I learned so much about my Limited here.

I can only hope my new '08 Caddy STS has a comparable Forum.
