Brake pedal problem

I have a problem with my brake pedal on my 2006 Limited.

When the car sits for less than 24 hours, and I press the brake pedal to allow me to press the start button to start the engine, the pedal goes almost to the floor and the instrument pane shows the "locked" indication. After pumping the pedal, it rises and I'm able to start the car.

Is this an indication of air getting into the brake system? The brake fluid id up to it's required level. I plan to bring it to the dealer for correction but would appreciate any comments.

Thanks
