Cabin Air Filter

Anyone here change their own Cabin Air Filter yet? How hard is it to do? They want $59.95 at the dealer for a part that only costs $11.88 at Advanced Auto!

Do us a favor and search the forum. It's real easy to do the filter swap.

Your right. It would have been too easy to provide a civil answer instead of referring me to the search function. Have a great day and thanks for your knowledge.

Should be behind the glove box, check inside the glove box for a trap door.

Look noob, don't try and put this off on me. This topic has been discussed ad naseum. Don't try to re-invent the wheel because you are to lazy to do a little research for yourself.

Cabin Filter

Change it yourself. It takes two minutes. Look in your owner's manual or search this site for directions.

Drop the glovebox down. This involves removing the little "shock" on one side and then squeezing in the sides of the door while pulling down. The door will swing down far enough so you have access to the filter. Look for a panel or door about 2 x 8 inches and the filter is in there. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the plastic filter cover and remove the cover. Then slide out the filter.

...and make sure the AC is in the "recirculated mode" when you turn off the engine. Otherwise, the system won't let you have it (the filter)

Get a life jerk. Your signature shows you know all about being lazy.

Thanks to new echo owner, CAPTMARK and Amaury for informative and civil responses.
