smart key

I brought a 09 Toyota avalon limited can any one tell me if the key fob have to be on you to lock the doors with the handle botton. and will the seat memory set lenth. Thank you Glenn

Yes, the smart key must be on you in order to lock, unlock and for memory settings to activated, assuming you set up
to have the the key to memorize. - Just took dlivery of a new ltd. also. Good luck!

If you want to give the key to someone just so they can access or lock the car for you without the ability to drive off, you can take the mechanical key out of the fob and just give them that.

Yes, the module can learn the signals from your car. However, the mechanical key (if already cut) will NOT work in your car.
