yeah, that tire is stretched on that wide of a rim. These are some 22x8.5 verde dimension wheels. It has a +38 offset and I haven't heard it rub any in the back so far.
I really can't compare to factory because I only had the factory rims/tires on for like 1 day after I bought the car. I've either had 20's or 22's since then. Fuel economy, hwy-about 27mpg, city-around 19-20mpg. Ride quality and road noise-just as long as the road is smooth it's pretty quiet and rides good, any imperfection in the road, you'll feel it.
i guess i lied about the mpg. i just went to south carolina and it averaged 26.2 mpg driving up there and that's coasting between 75-85mph on mid-grade gas. now driving back is a different story, i averaged 23mpg and that was punching the gas to pass other cars and staying between 80-90mph. I also got my car up to 110, but let off because i got a little nervous.
Im not usually a 22in person on a car but I really like those. Also black and chrome is always a good choice. Also as mentioned be for that tire is pretty small what size are they?
the tires are 235/30/22. It's the smallest 22" tire that's out right now. I'm want to go to a 245/30/22 but am afraid of rubbing if I go any bigger since it's already 1" taller than the factory tire size. I might be selling my car so if anyone wants the rims or car or both let me know.
I tried to put 245's on my 2005 Avalon at Costco but the tire guy told me tire was touching the fender wall and they did not want to be liable so they made me go with 225/50/17s. Those fit pretty good. Do you have any rubbing issues? Thanks.
