Gen5 2008 avalon tps

I have a 2008 Avalon xls and as shown many times in this forum, there are many questions concerning the tire pressure warning system.my question is: is there a pressure tolerance ( plus/minus) from a 32 psi set point to be reached before the TPS light illuminates
Thanks

The threshold where it would trigger the light is about 6 psi from where when the system is initialized: at 32 psi, it will turn on the light when it drops to 26 psi. Or at 30 psi, light on at 24 psi.

With the colder weather, you may have to add a couple of psi to compensate for the temperature drop after you have set the pressure and re-initialized the system.

You can set your own threshold value. That’s the only reason the reset switch exists.

Factory value, like NEO stated, is way too low: who needs a MIL to realize your tires needs air at, say, 26 psi UNLESS you are a very special kind of person who can’t tell your tires are under inflated at 26 psi, so I set my own reference point to a value that makes more sense to me.
