Bulbs...

Hi,

I just recently got my 09 Avalon Limited 2 weeks ago. Been really enjoying my car, its a lot smoother and quieter than my old Maxima.

I have a quick question though, is there an easy way for me to swap out the HID bulb and fog light bulb on this car? Would I have to remove the bumper? If so, does anyone have any idea on how to remove the bumper itself?

Thanks for any info...

Threads for you

You'll want to take a look at these two threads regarding HID replacement and fog light bulbs. They should answer all or most of your questions.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I actually did check out both those threads and they talk more about how to replace out the fog light bulbs. Which is great.

Not sure about the HID bulb for the low beam, sorry if I wasn't clear. I noticed that there is not much room behind the cap for me to actually unscrew and take out he bulbs. Do you have any info on that? I tried searching and can't really come up with anything.

Thanks again.

Nope, sorry, I wasn't able to dig up additional info either. Hopefully someone will post who's done the HID replacement.

I replaced my HID's and fog lights on my 06 limited. I changed the factory 4300k headlight bulbs to 6000k bulbs. It's just a really tight fit, unless there's an easy way to pull out the whole headlight assembly. The passenger side wasn't that bad to replace, it was the driver side that was tricky.

Yea...figured it be something like that. I might need my gf's small hands then.

Do you know if there is anything special I need to look out for since I have the auto-leveling feature on my headlights?

Nope, just be careful and try not to touch the bulb while installing them.

Thanks for all the info.

Now I just have to convince my gf to help me install the bulbs.
