$2000, 4 years bumper to bumper warranty, should I buy it? Thanks

I just buy a 05 avalon limited (53K, full loaded) today from some Infiniti dealer in New Jersey. the dealer offers me a $2000, 4 years /50000miles, bumper to bumper warranty, with ZERO DEDUCTIBLE, because the 05 and up comes with a lot electrical stuffs. It would be very expensive for repair.[/B]

This is my first avalon, shall I take the offer or not? Thanks for your comments

We just bought a silver 2005 Avalon Limited with 54k in October! We love it! It is a certified used from a Toyota dealer, so we got the 7yr, 100k mile Powertrain warranty included.

We passed on the extended warranty, and it was the Toyota platinum extended for about 1200-1500, cannot remember. $2000 is a quite a bit high. So far we only had a gas cap failure causing a EVAP code ($20 fix, I already own a OBD2 scanner). I come from a family of mechanics and my dad is currently a Diesel Tech, so most things we handle ourselves.

It is a tough call on taking the extended warranty, but typically I don't and especially for $2000... I would not. Is there a repair deductible? and who is the warranty company. You can do a little research on the company and see their track record with customers, some company's make you jump thru hoops.

Just curious how much you are (did) buy the car for.. We bought ours for 19,000 and has the Navi and laser cruise.

Thanks.

There is no repair deductible and mileage limitation, which is offered by some Infiniti dealer.

I paid $18385 (out of the door price); it does come with navi and laser cruise, but it is NOT a CPO car.

Shop around for sure. Search the forum, there's quite a number of highly recommended warranty dealers out there.

quoted several Toyota dealers in north Jersey as below:

1. $1790, zero deductible, 3year/36000miles

2. $1600, $50 deductible, 3year/36000miles

neither is a good offer, because I was not buying the 05 avalon (53K) from a toyota dealer.

the other one I mentioned before actually is $2000, 4 years/50000miles, bumper to bumper warranty, zero DEDUCTIBLE
