How to SET display?

How do you "set" the display, to always show what you want shown, on start up? Since I do not EVER use the navigation (use a 99.00 TomTom instead), I would like the screen to always show the radio when the car is started. What does show, has changed a few times in the last year, so I'm guessing it can be done, I'm just not certain how to do it. Anyone?

Ours is an '06 Avalon XLS, don't know what you have.

By clicking the Display button I get to a screen that lets me turn the display off. I don't do it much, but it seems to stay that way, so the next time you start the car it's still blank. If you then hit Audio you will get the audio screen. However, I believe it will come up with a blank screen next time you start up. I believe that is going to be as close as you can get.

I believe you are correct, but I have seen it (on start up) start with the navigation OK screen, the audio screen, black screen, etc, so I'm guessing that there must be a way to make it always start (for example) on the audio screen - which is what I want. THX

It might do that if you turn off the display, bring up the Audio screen, and then just leave it alone. IOW, it will be like it was at shutdown next time you start up. Give it a try!

Nope. Last week it was the navigation OK screen all week, this week it is a blank (black) screen. I always have to press the audio button to turn on the audio screen. I want the display to show the audio each time I start the car. There has to be a way to make it start on a particular screen each time you start the car.
