Avalon 06 with a mushy ride

I’ve just purchased a 06 Avalon XLS and am finding the ride too bouncy. I’d like advice on what would be required to stiffen up the suspension. Sounds like this may have been worked out already by others (I have read a couple of older threads). Change the tires, struts, and/or springs? Could I get details and costs? Thanks

My guess would be to get the shocks and struts that come on the Touring model. I have that model and the stiffness seems just about right. Not bouncy, but not too harsh either. I'm not sure if that is the only suspension difference in this model or not.

That would probably be the simplest thing to do.

Mushy Suspension

The suggestion to look at the Touring model is good advice. Suggest you take one out for a test ride and feel the difference.

We also have the XLS (wrong delivery by the dealer as we had ordered the Touring) and it is definitely mushy. This will set you back about $1,200 to make the change. I am seriously thinking of making the switch at some point.

^just watch out for dips and speed bumps if you do so.

I've already changed out the springs in my limited to the touring springs. I wanna say I paid about $240 for the springs from the dealer. I plan on changing the struts over too once I get the extra money.
