Oil supply line

First love my 06 avalon limited no problems! Thanks to this forum and others I researched a little known TSB was in the 05 avalon then corrected. Mine was supposed to be the corrected model with an improved oil supply line! I went in for service (48K miles). The service guy said they will check it. Toyota came back and said it was "weeping" slightly and today they are replacing it (I expect at their cost). This little line if ruptures...allows you to lose you oil and many had no oil lights come on! That is why I had it looked at. I send this out since many have helped me in the past and I think its worth noting.

Happy miles

The new replacement line is the same as the original. It supplies the Bank 1 VVTI gear. When it ruptures this can cause cam problems, so keep your eye on the new one.

If you don't replace the line with a solid metal one you are just buying some time because it will blow again. When?? About 40K miles from last change out. All new 09 engines have them. What does that tell you?
