05 Limited HID headlight retrofit progress

http://www.lightwerkz.net/gallery/ma...g2_itemId=6000

Here are some pictures of the headlights of my 2005 Limited with HID retrofitted with projectors from Lexus RX. I have not yet put them in my car since it involves removing the bumper and I have not found anybody yet trustwhorthy to hav it done around southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Thanks,
Greg

P.S.
And so I am looking for somebody who could do that for me in or around southern subs of Chicago (Romeoville, IL) and in a timely manner too. Thanks

Those headlights look good. Did you do them yourself?

Nope, the guys at LightWerkz did work on them and they obviously did a good job. You can yourself see the outcome!

Those are some nice looking lights. Now, other than looks, what if any, is the point of changing to a projector from the OEM reflector HID that come standard on the limited? In my opinion the stock headlights with oem hid are already pretty good.

Reflectors are by their nature inferior to projectors. Why do you think all high end cars use projectors HIDs? Toyota though is using HIDs is still using the old technology which in Lexus brand was used ten years ago already. There is simply more light output because the lens 'gathers' the light and beams it ahead of the car.

How much did the conversion set you back? I've always liked projectors. My last car had them but they were HID conversions, originally oem halogens. You ever get them installed? Does auto level still work?
