Sat Radio Options in '08 Avalon

Ok, I've been digging through the forums for a while now, googling everything I can think and I can't seem to get a clear answer as for my options to install satellite radio in my '08 Avalon Limited w/ JBL upgraded stereo. I would prefer sirius, but xm will do. Do I have the option to do either? Do I simply buy a receiver that gets tucked away in the trunk? Is the wiring all there from the factory, so it's just plug and play? What about the kits on ebay that say you just plug them into the factory system, how do they work? What is my best option? I've installed several sirius kits in cars for previous vehicles, so I'm pretty familiar with the installs. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you haven't found your answer I recently visited my local Car install shop and I was informed that you could get either XM or Sirius.

My '08 came with XM and was listed as "distributor" installed. The receiver is under the passenger seat and the antenna is on the rear deck inside the car. Check under the seat to see it the wires are there ready to be used.
