Front bumper removal on 2005 Avalon Limited

Hi all,

I am in need of specific guidelines how to remove the bumper and then put it back and so that it would not come off later on I have those nice retrofitted headlights I would like to finally put in my 05 Avy. I would really appreciate some help on that!

Thanks,
Greg

At the top of page 76-3 there is an illustration showing the blind retainer clips along the seam between bumper and fender (crosshatched area). These clips usually break when the cover is pulled off. I recommend to purchase replacements in advance.

Let us know how those headlights turn out. I'm definitely interested in seeing, and maybe even getting some.

Well, I have encountered a bit of a problem. As it turned out the headlights retrofitted with the RX projectors which are too long cannot be closed with the back covers - the ones you simply turn to seal the bulb. I am in a search for replacements. I probably need an inch deeper than the ones I have now (OEM from the original headlights). Headlights themselves work great, including the auto-leveling. The beam is just superb. Worth having done overall except those back covers.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks,
Greg
