USA 08 Avalon Limited windshield dash image glare

Original acoustic windshield, Gray dash and when driving toward the sun, especially when it is up in the sky like 11am or so, the dash reflects in the windshield enough to make seeing very difficult. The dash is not shiny from Armorall or anything, cleaned with Windex. Even tried putting a flat black cloth on it and it helped, but still showed up in the windshield. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

OOPS, it is actually a 2009! My son just got a 2008 Sienna and I confused the model years.

I have an '08 Avalon also but with a light tan dash. I have never noticed the reflection of the dash in the windshield but I have seen a reflection on the driver's side window in line with the rearview mirror.

Actually mine is a 2009 (I just edited my original post), but I would think they would be the same configuration. Just ordered a Dash Cover in Charcoal to see if that will help, maybe should have gone with a light color.

Just a thought but have you tried changing your head position by either raising, lowering, or tilting the seat?

Yep, tried about as much contorsionism as I could stand. Will see how the carpet dash cover works and let you know.

Yes, the glare is awful

I have a 2008 Touring and I understand, sometimes the glare is so bad I can hardly see. I use 100% UV sunglasses that allow me to see past the glare. Keep some sun glasses in the car.
