If it is the same as my 07 Avalon you should have instructions on the Key ring. Do the following:
  • Press Lock
  • Wait a half a second
  • Press Lock
  • Wait a second
  • Press and Hold Lock for three seconds (the car should beep to confirm)

For my '08 Limited remote start you push Lock 3 times quickly and on the 4th time hold it until it starts.

If you can find the antenna for the remote start/alarm system -it's usually just a single wire-
you can extend range of remote significantly by just adding a few feet of copper wire to existing antenna.

How do I know If I have a remote start in my 08 Avalon? It is a limited. But I have no clue what Shit the dealers her in the middle east order.

The truth is that the states gets all the options with the same price.
Eg. Avalon Limited here does not come with navigation, does not have the 12speaker system just the 6. The jbl Does not play MP3!! not even an OPTION!! and I payed 34,500 usd even though we don't pay taxes here!

Sorry for all that guys. Does anybody know how i can tell?

On my '08 Ltd. there is a sticker on the passenger window stating the car has remote start. Also, the 'key' has a sticker on it.

I have had Viper installed in my previous 4Runner and Tacoma, never had any problem.

Now I have both Viper and Clifford 2 way remote start installed in my Avalon and my wife's CRV. Exceptional range and reliability again.

Go with Viper, you can go wrong with $400-500 installed.
