I often wonder if all the car manufacturers get together and say, "What are our cars going to look like this year?" They all seem to look the same.

You're right, they're like a bunch of lemmings and no matter how bad a design trend is they try to make it worse. If that's the 2011 Avalon I'm glad I have an '08.

I like the 05-10 avalon, its stately looking, and the big rear doors and roofline give plenty of headroom for tall people. If that's the 2011, the rear roof rake looks pretty low like it would interfere with rear headroom.

Looks more consistent with Nissan design. I don't think this picture is indicative at all of the new 2011 Avalon design direction. I think, very generally, the new Lexus designs (RX, LS, HS, LFA) are the closest we'll get to speculation over the new general design of the new Avalon. Personally, I love the Avalon and believe it doesn't get enough credit. But in a way I like it because there is a sense of exclusivity since there aren't plenty on the road like the Lexus IS, RX, ES or Toyota Camry. Haha
