2007 Limited Quirks

Greetings. I'm the former owner of a 95 avalon XL; absolutely loved that car. Just gave it to my daughter. Would not have parted with it but caught a lot of flack for driving a 15 year old car. So I've moved into the tech age with my "new" 07 avalon limited. Nice/elegant car but I kind of miss my old one. I think the tranny kind of shifts funny in low gear; and the headlights only seem to go 30-40 feet out; seems like I don't get enough light on hilly roads. Is what I'm experiencing common and, if so, are there quick fixes at the dealer? Appreciate feedback.

There's a technical service bulletin about the tranny shifting and acting funny. A reprogram will take care of it - go see the dealer.

Your limited is equipped with self-leveling headlights. When you start the car with the headlights set to 'auto', and your in the dark, you should see the headlights aim downward and then adjust to the right setting. If you don't see the at self-adjustment - go see the dealer.

Also, just because they "auto level" doesnt mean they are actually aimed properly. There's still the initial mechanical setting of them, if that's gotten changed or is incorrect that may affect everything.

Thank you very much. I bought the vehicle on 1/10 and am still awaiting my owners and navigation manuals. This is extremely helpful. I will get these checked out. Going to the dealer tomorrow for my accelerator pedal fix.
