Remember the VVT oil line Recall
I have 52K on my 05 Limited and the idler pulley went out Feb. 1. Since I'm still under warranty, I took it to the dealer, same dealer we bought it from. They suggested to do the oil line while they were in that general area, I also said to replace the serpentine belt. Here is what I found out! The oil line replacement with the rubber hose part cost $76.00 (I asked parts for the price for both all steel and a rubber hose one, get this... ALL-STEEL $35.00) they replaced it, but I was told not the whole pipe but just the rubber hose.
Today I noticed oil on the garage floor, guess what's leaking? Worked fine before, so now they can fix it again and get the oil off of everything, and one more thing, when they changed the pulley they shorted out something and they had to order a $40.00 fuse for the alternator (generator whatever) The recalls worry me.
