20 inch Rim off sets?

Im going to pay on some new 20s for my avalon and i need to know which off set is gonna be best to prevent rubbing when i put people in the back they offer a 20 35 40 off sets. and what if any LOOK wise will these different off sets give..will one push the wheel out toward the outside of the wheel well or will one tuck it inside the wheel well more? thx

I decided to go with the 35mm off set.Got a set of Legacy wheels with Falken tires.CAnt wait to get the rims and grill installed.Next week ITS OVER.

How wide is the rim and what size tire did you go with? Most people that went with a 20x8.5 and a 245/35/20 tire had rubbing issues if there offset was less than +40. I just put a set of 21's on my 06 avalon.

well there was only a 20 35 45 offsets the rim is 20x8.5 the shop said the 35 would bring the wheel in away fromt the outside of the wheel well 45 would get the tire to close to the wheel well so what should i do. i cant have rubbing i need to be able to put people in the back. Whats a sure setup to not have rubbing

i would go with the +45 offset. It will have the wheel sit in a little more and you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. When I had 20's on my car, it rubbed in the rear with a +38 offset and a 245/35/20 tire.

Wheels are on and NO RUB BUT i had to go with a tiny tire 225 35 20..yea yea i know to small.Ill just have to be extra careful At least i know for sure i wont have ANY rub
