How do I adjust rear window sun screen on 2006 Avalon

I have noticed that the sunscreen doesn't retract all the way into the compartment. I tried oiling but it still won't retract as it should. Any tips would be appreciated.

Good question. I have the opposite problem - mine gets hung up trying to go up. I asked Toyota to look at it and let me know what it would take to fix. They said it was 'pushed back' (misaligned). To fix it they said they would have to remove the back seat (not a small feat!) in order to remove the rear shelf cover to get to the window shade. They estimated it would be about $250 or so.

I'll leave well enough alone on mine. Let me know how you deal with it.
