My question-What is the major difference between the XLS or Limited? Is the Limited worth the extra $? The car will be driven from 3-4 hours every Monday and Friday.
Some people complain about the limited's cooled seats. The fan is too close to the padding, and some people, tall or heavier, will notice and complain. I'm skinny and 6' tall and I notice it.

I have an XLS, and I'm very happy with it. There are a few minor differences between the two like HID headlights, chrome door handles, heated seat, rear window shade, wheels, wood grain steering wheel, etc. If you can live without the little things, then I would suggest getting the XLS. Just my opinion.

The Limited also has direction-indicating outside mirrors, the driver's seat cushion extends beneath the thigh, 2-position seat memory that also adjusts the outside mirrors, JBL Synthesis stereo that provides 7.1 surround sound, headlights (HID) that self-level and auto-on and auto-off, inside rearview mirrow houses garage door opening buttons (3 of them) as well as compass and are auto-dimming. Dual Zone automatic climate control. Plus what the others said...
I want to reinforce the comments about there being a discomfort with the driver's seat cushion. It's caused by the ventilation fan that's mount to the underside of the cushion. At 75k miles my seat was downright painful to sit in after an hour or so. My solution, since Toyota wouldn't acknowledge a poor design and they denied extended warranty coverage, was for me to remove it altogether. Once removed the seat's comfortable again.
Since you said you'd be in the car 3-4 hours a day (welcome to my world witha 120-mile roundtrip Monday - Friday) I'd have to suggest go for the Limited. You might as well get all the creature comforts that the Limited offers. The sound system itself make all the time I spend in the car less of an ordeal.
Let us know how you decide. Good luck with the purchase!
Yea, for the record I prefer and use a lot of the features in my limited regularly. Especially the laser cruise. One of these days I will figure out a way to get that fan adjusted so I can still use it, but not sit on the dumb thing and make my rear hurt on 5 hour drives.

I have a Limited and love it. My brother has an XLS. Even though he loves his car, he tells me almost daily he wishes he would have gotten the Limited. He did get the JBL option and loves it. As do I. I knew before I bought it that I would be removing the fan under the seat. so what! The fan is a small issue compared to the rest the Limited has to offer. I suggest getting the Limited. You won't be sorry. Let us know what you get. Good Luck.....
The key transponder. When you have the transponder with you, as you approach the car the interior lights come on as do the puddle lights under the outside rearview mirrors, the doors unlock when you grasp the handle, (and if you've set it up) it will adjust the seat and the outside mirrors to your setting (in the event that your other half last drove it), no key needed to start the car. That's a biggie in my mind!
It depends on what you want. I drive a 2008 Touring. Love it because 1. It doesn't "float" like the ltd or xls. Tighter suspension-not much, but just enough to notice, and 2. I hate all that wood trim on the ltd and some xls's. It's a little too much for my taste. The touring is "understated" and "austere". In other words, you know it's a baaadd boy, but you don't need to flaunt it.
My 2 cents.

Sorry to disappoint you, but my sister has a limited. I chose the Touring after experiencing her Limited. I stand by my Touring. Like I said in my earlier post, it all depends on what you want.
